Giannis Agorastos is a holder of a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Business Administration and Management from the University of Macedonia and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Health Care Management from the Hellenic Open University. He also holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Health Services Administration (Economic Evaluation in Healthcare) from the University of West Attica and is a PhD candidate in the Department of Public Health Policy in the University of West Attica. He has worked as a Senior Financial Accountant for a private clinic, as a Staff Relations Officer at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and as Head of Planning and Administration at the Greek DRG Institute (KETEKNY). Moreover, he has worked in administrative roles for the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and for the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). He is also a Research Associate of the Laboratory of Health Technology Assessment (LabHTA) at the School of Public Health, University of West Attica. His professional and research interests include healthcare management, health economics and policy, and health technology assessment.

The goal of the PhD thesis is the development and introduction of a Multiple-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) framework in the context of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Greece.
